What will I get out of W.O.M.B.?

            W.O.M.B. is intended to be a place where women are encouraged to seek self-discovery by giving and receiving support in a caring, understanding and respectful way

How much does it cost?

            Membership dues are $30 per year.

What else is required of me to join?

            As a single mother, you are sometimes overwhelmed with demands for your attention.  However, to strengthen your inner self, it is necessary for you to take some time for yourself. We ask that you  give these gatherings an importance in your life by making attendance a priority and volunteering for positions you are able to fill.

How do I apply for financial aid?

            If you are suffering financial hardship, contact one of the club officers.  Your information will be kept confidential.

What will my family get out of W.O.M.B.?

            Your family will gain an extended community of caring adults as well as the leadership of a parent who is growing in self-respect, self-confidence, and self-knowledge.

Can I bring my children with me?

            You are welcome to bring your children with you!  There will refreshments and a play area provided at the gathering.

What activities are available for children at the meeting?

            There is a play table with toys, crayons and paper for children to entertain themselves.  They will be near enough for you to keep an eye on during the meeting.

SPIRITUAL

Is this a Christian-oriented organization?

            Our values are spiritual in nature.  We recognize the power of faith and gratefully accept the blessings we have been given.  No one is excluded on the basis of their religious beliefs.  We respect one another's beliefs without judgement.

What if I'm not a religious person?

            You are welcome to join us.  We ask only that everyone's beliefs be met with respect.

CLUB ADMINISTRATION

How long does the meeting last?

            Each gathering lasts approximately 2 hours.

What happens at a meeting?

            Monthly gatherings will include a presentation by a speaker, recognition of members' personal accomplishments, sharing of members' news and spiritual uplifting.

Who runs the chapter?

            At the present time, much of the operation is in the hands of founder, Sarah Berry .  As the organization grows, volunteer officers are greatly appreciated!

What are membership dues used for?

            Dues are used for the daily operating costs of the group such as: copying and mailing costs, refreshments, meeting supplies, and other necessities.  We will also use a portion of the money to create a fund to be used to help members in need as well as community organizations which help families in need.  In additino we will seek public grant money to help us accomplish these goals.

Does W.O.M.B. have fun things for me and my family to do?

            Absolutely!  Each gathering will include laughter and fun.  In addition, we will occasionally organize a social outing, for moms only or for the entire family.

What if I don't live near a chapter?

            Start one!  We want to spread the W.O.M.B. message all across the country.  Just contact Sarah Berry for more information on starting a local chapter.

Will local chapters be under the main one?

            Each chapter will be a unique and whole organization, just like a family.  But all the chapters will agree to comply with the national guidelines.
